Amnicare

MINI and MINI Kid

Very exciting news is here. After the summer of 2020, Amnicare will include both MINI and MINI Kid (M.I.N.I – MINI International Neuropsychiatric Interview). It is the new version 7.0.2 that will now be digital in Amnicare.

M.I.N.I. is a brief (in context), structured diagnostic interview designed to evaluate the most common DSM-5 and ICD-10 psychiatric disorders. With an average administration time of about 20 minutes, M.I.N.I. is perhaps the most commonly used structured psychiatric interview for psychiatric evaluation and outcome tracking in clinical psychopharmacology trials and epidemiological studies.

From June 2, 2020, Stretch Care and Amnicare hold the rights for MINI and MINI Kid in Sweden. This means that all use of these tools must be licensed through Stretch Care, regardless of the version. In this context, there is a special history in Sweden – there is a paper version of MINI Kid, the old version 6.0, which has been considered free to use. Unfortunately, this is not true. This version was intended for a limited research project and has since spread in Sweden for general clinical use, much to the chagrin of the American rights holders.

Hopefully, Amnicare can now remedy this licensing situation and provide a better and more cost-effective solution for all of Sweden. We provide the new version 7.0.2 in digital form at a low cost. In practice, we hope this will result in a much better user experience with automatic scoring.
